About the international network of nurse leaders

Our Story

“We need to stop believing we are “just” a nurse; nurses hold great power. Our voices deserve to be heard. We can, and must, rise together to fix our broken healthcare system. If nurses banded together, with one voice and one mission of creating change, we would be unstoppable.”

AMY DEAGLE, FOUNDER & CEO
THE INTERNATIONAL NETWORK OF NURSE LEADERS

In the International Network of Nurse Leaders…

We believe in the power of nurses to change the world.

More specifically, we believe that nurses, when unified together in a common purpose, vision and mission will have the power to create an unstoppable wave of change.

We also believe that leadership is crucial for every nurse, at every stage of their career. Our profession creates unique opportunities to practice leadership every day, whether that is at the bedside doing patient care or in a more official nurse manger-leadership role.

We also believe that leadership is crucial for every nurse, at every stage of their career. Our profession creates unique opportunities to practice leadership every day, whether that is at the bedside doing patient care or in a more official nurse manger-leadership role.

The International Network of Nurse Leaders was created to help nurses develop and strengthen their leadership skills, increase their confidence with speaking up to challenge the status quo and give them a community of support to help navigate their career and leadership journey.

We want nurses to have confidence in their leadership skills and be able to actively seek out situations where they can speak up and start creating a movement of change. We know that many parts of our healthcare systems are broken. We also know that many of the answers, solutions and innovative ideas lie within the nursing profession; we just hesitate to speak up. After all, how many times have you been told, you are “just” a nurse?

We need to stop believing the “just” a nurse myth; nurses hold great power. Our voices deserve to be heard. We can, and must, rise together with one voice and one mission of creating change. If we can do that, we will be unstoppable, and for that very reason the International Network of Nurse Leaders was created.

MISSION

To inspire, empower and help nurses lead a movement of change on a global scale by creating a community of support, with tools to enhance their leadership skills and a platform to make their voices heard.

Our mission is to bring nurses together in a community and support them with the tools and resources they need to step into leadership roles and become agents of change.

By engaging with each other in rich discussions centered around leadership, management, change and maximizing nursing influence we believe that we can help create the movement of change that healthcare is desperately needing.

There are amazing nurse leaders out there leading change on their own units, in their own hospitals, communities and organizations but they are doing so alone. And it can feel awfully lonely when it feels like it’s a solo mission. We want the INNL to be a place where all those leaders can come together to know that they are not alone, where they can go to gather support from other like-minded individuals and to access tools and resources to help support them on their mission.

Through our Membership Community and Mastermind Groups, nurses from around the world can find the support, tools & resources, and supportive community they must have in order to create an impact.

Welcome!

I’m Amy Deagle, a Masters prepared Registered Nurse with a passion for leadership, nursing, women’s rights and helping women find their voice.

I started the International Network of Nurse Leaders because I believe that nurses, when rallied together in a unified purpose, have the power to change the world. Nurses deserve a seat at the table. Far too long have we been excluded from the decisions made in healthcare, yet we carry the industry on our backs. We are the backbone of the healthcare industry, and it’s time we used our collective voice to make the changes we know are so desperately needed.

I believe that good leadership can change lives. It forms teams. Builds organizations. Impacts communities. And, has the power to positively influence the world. Nurses are the type of empathetic, caring leaders that we so desperately need. My mission is to help them find their own voice, confidence and power to step up and start being the leader their world needs.

If you’re a nurse who is ready to step into a leadership role, whether that’s in a formal or informal role, I’d love to connect with you. Connect with me on social media or send me an email.

Here’s to our future!
